One of the most frequent requests we get is for a recommendation a good all purpose non-toxic cleaner. One that made us pause, when we thought we had tried everything, is put out by Lifetime Solutions. After listening to the distributor extol its virtues, we decided to put it to one of our definitive tests: an under cleaned, over used bathroom by the male in our family. We were astonished to find that it made a significant difference to the grime on the fiberglass bath surround. While hypersensitive people should test out sample sizes for their individual reactions, the product scored zero on all criteria on the material safety data sheet, showing its toxicity level to be virtually negligible. Based on colloidal micelle technology (used to clean up oil spills), this cleaner was found in laboratory testing to have significant inhibiting antibacterial anti-fungal effects on Ecoli, salmonella, staphylococcus pseudomonas, trichophyon (fungus) when diluted in a one to three ratio with water. When the strength was doubled, it inhibited streptococcus. This product is also a welcome alternative to toxic cleaners when used in your carpet shampooer. The product contains glycerol, corn oil, vinegar, miscible salts, organic alcohol, food grade silicone, vegetable source fatty acid, nonionic surfactant molecules, and amino acid fermented from vegetables containing sucrose and fructose. We think if you want a non-toxic, all-purpose cleaner, then the Lifetime product is one of the best choices you can make, and it is economical to boot.
