Dear Everyone,

Cats!

Yes, I am one of those ridiculous cat allergy sufferers who insist on owning cats. We have not one, but THREE siamese cats! I rate 7 out of 9 on the allergy blood test scale. My idea of heaven would be to retire and breed them; but never fear – my husband would never go for it! This gives you an idea of how passionate I am about cats. They are my substitute children and follow me everywhere. When my allergist told me I was allergic, I was devastated. This was part of the reason I decided to become an expert on how to keep cat dander at bay and lower my own allergy thermostat. The good news is my cats and I coexist very happily together…my husband chucks them out of the bedroom at night, and I try not to bury my head in their fur! If you are not a cat lover, you are probably totally grossed out by now – but for cat nut cases like myself, I have written on how to live with cats and reduce your allergy symptoms. I do have an air cleaner in my bedroom, and for those of you that are curious, we have used an Austin Healthmate Standard for 2 years in the bedroom with great success. I am tempted to change it for the Blueair, and put my Austin in my office, simply because the Blueair is super quiet and my husband hates any air filter fan noise. Personally, I think a little white noise can help to drown out snoring from your bed partner. Check out Blueair at our Store.
